Every commission is built in a single room on Jean-Talon — one bench, a spool wall, and the hides waiting their turn. No factory, no assistants, no batch runs; if a piece carries the mark, it was made here.
Aaron Pimentel
Aaron cuts, skives, saddle-stitches and burnishes every piece himself — the same pair of hands from the first stroke of the blade to the last pass of wax. The tools are simple: knives, pricking irons, two needles, a burnisher. The standard is not.
He answers the messages, too. Write to the atelier about a strap and you are writing to the person who will make it.
How the room works
- Made to order
- Nothing is cut until a commission asks for it. There is no stock and no shelf — only your piece on the bench.
- One pair of hands
- Cutting, stitching, finishing — one maker, one standard, accountable for every stitch.
- Down to the stitch
- Hide, thread, edge and buckle are settled with you before the blade touches leather.
- No second pass
- The blade follows the line once. Work that misses the standard stays in the room.
Signed, not labelled
Every piece that leaves the room is embossed with the atelier’s mark — AARON BESPOKE, MONTRÉAL — pressed into the hide, never printed on it. It is the only branding you will find, and the only warranty card you will need.
The bench, in person
Visits are one at a time, and by appointment. Bring the watch — hides come down from the wall, thread is laid against the dial, and the commission takes shape in front of you.
